I faced the same issue initially
This is probably due to the fact that you are trying to update with 3.05.42 using the old procedure
I explained this as a « return of experience » in the following message in French (try to google it for translation):
As a summary, for 3.05.42
- do not use tftp command nor Scandevice.exe
- use exclusively GCE ScanDevices.jar which comes with 3.05.42 download
indeed GCE ScanDevices.jar is NOT the same software as Scandevice.exe
GCE ScanDevices.jar performs the whole firmware update with website upload and config upload : it is much simpler
=> you just need to select a device and then to click on the « Flash Device » button
Use the config converter to upload your config (or start everything from 3.05.42)
if you have Eco-devices, same way : use GCE ScanDevices.jar,… but be carefull not to flash it with IPX firmware (as I did !)
If you want to go back to 3.05.35, then you will have to use the tftp command, as per the old procedure
(however I have never tried 3.05.35 with GCE ScanDevices.jar !)
Alternatively to the above (and much simpler), just try to reload the web site (the .bin file)
Sometimes it is just a matter of an incomplete upload (I also had such a basic issue)
